Wexford Opera House, Ireland

The new Wexford Opera House will have a 750 seat state of the art auditorium specifically designed for opera, (a 36 percent increase on the current capacity of 550 seats). The new auditorium will also have adjustable configuration to a smaller capacity of 430 for out of season shows. Centre Stage Engineering have been appointed by main contractor Cleary Doyle as the stage engineering contractor to design, manufacture and install two double-deck forestage elevators with Spiralift transmission systems, safety curtain, counterweight flying system and motorised hoists as specified by Carr & Angier, theatre consultants. The project is now well under way with completion due in 2008.

 

 

 

 

Theatre Severn, Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury’s prestigious new theatre, is now under construction on the banks of the River Severn with Willmott Dixon as the main contractor and Carr & Angier as the theatre consultants. Willmott Dixon have appointed Centre Stage Engineering as the stage engineering contractor responsible for the design and installation of the Spiralift-driven forestage elevator, air powered seating wagons, safety curtain, counterweight flying systems for the main and studio theatres and ancillary items of stage equipment.
